WE'RE GOING TO CHINA

We finally received our travel approval from China. We will likely leave February 14th (Happy Valentine's Day!!) as we need to be in Beijing by the 15th and return around the 24th. This is a shorter trip than we expected!! We are so excited - Addie here we come!!

We are still here - in the U.S. that is. We still have not received travel approval and it is going on an unprecedented six weeks since our referral. Once again - we hoped to be leaving for China not still waiting. We are totally bummed - but ready to travel on a moments notice. Perhaps we'll hear yet this week. Keep us, and especially little Addison in your thoughts. Thanks everyone for the the positive wishes and support.

Happy Post-Holidays!

Hoping everyone had a great holiday season. I unplugged for awhile and it was so nice to get away for awhile - I was on technology overload. But, I don't want anyone to feel neglected so I'm back. We had a fantastic travel meeting over the holidays regarding the trip to China and we got to meet our new case worker -she's fantastic. She really put us at ease and it will be so nice to have all our paperwork filled out. All we have to do is hand it in when we are in China.

We also met another family from WI that will be traveling with us to pick up their daughter. They seemed very nice and will be traveling with their kids - what an awesome experience!!

We got an update on Addie - she is getting bigger!!

feet: 4 inches (big feet for such a little one) :)

We can't wait to hold her in our arms!! I look at her little picture daily and wonder what she is like, what she is doing, thinking, etc. Our best estimate for travel is the week of February 13th. Travel invitations should be coming soon as the next batch of referrals is expected this week.

We sent Addie and her caregivers a package right before the holidays - she should have it by now. We sent her a camera, blankie, teddy bear, and some treats for her caregivers. Hopefully they will have time to use the camera to snap some photos of Addie and her playmate around the orphanage.

We are getting really excited!!
